After the massive snowfall in the Austrian mountains from the beginning of November, several ski resorts have chosen to open before planned.
Quite unusually, the slopes at several ski resorts look much better than usual at this time of year. So why not just open the ski resorts for the many expectant skiers?
So in ths weekend, 17-19. november 2017, week 46, more than 15 Austrians ski resorts have choosen to open for the winter season 2017-2018.
Some of the biggest ski destinations in Austria, like Sölden, Saalbach, Obergurgl, Kaprun, Hintertux, Kitzbuhel, Montafon and Schladming are therefor now open for skiing.
It looks promising for a good season full of snow!
