Hafjell ski resort

The ski resort Hafjell is located in Lillehammer (Norway, Oppland). For skiing and snowboarding, there are 44 km of slopes available. 15 lifts transport the guests. The winter sports area is situated between the elevations of 195 and 1,030 m.

Lttle lakeside town with slopes 15km north at Hafjell (230m). This is a worthwhile little area with a vertical of 830m. The downhill and super-G races went to Kvitfjell, about 35km further north, developed specially for the purpose. It’s steeper but smaller – 18km of pistes. Hafjell’s slopes are varied, with some challenging reds and long blues through the trees. There is an ‘excellent’ terrain park and night-skiing is popular. The ski school is highly praised in 2008: ‘The quality of instruction and fun were the best I’ve experienced.’ Facilities for children are good, with a new snow garden and child care centre. The resort has a couple of bars and restaurants – Woody’s bar and Peppi’s pizza are recommended.
