10th Mtn. Division Soldier in Winter Vintage Poster
This is a high quality Giclee Print reproduction of the original poster produced from the Saturday Eve Post cover. The painting is by Mead Schaeffer. It is one of the most famous images in North America’s skiing history. It depicts a tough battle hardened 10th Mountain soldier in full winter camouflage gear. The painting model was a man named Horace Quick, an accomplished outdoors man and skier who participated in the famous high altitude Trooper Traverse from Camp Hale to Aspen in winter of 1944. The vintage poster is an excellent wall decor celebrating the brave men of our country’s armed forces.
