Trucker Skis Vintage Telemark Ski Poster
The Classic Alternative – Trucker Skis were revolutionary in their time. Trucker skis were made by John Lovett and crew in his Boulder Factory. The Company 3, Trucker Skis Headquarters was located in Aspen Colorado. Terry Young and Tim Carter started Company 3 in a small warehouse in the old Obermeyer building in Aspen in the early 70’s. Trucker was instrumental in the resurgence of the Telemark revolution in the mid 70’s. Trucker skis were the first full cross-country downhill ski ‘Telemark’ to have a full metal edge. Richard Allen, Owner of Vintage Ski World, shared, “I skied on Trucker skis for many years. Those were the days!” Aspen is still one of the most unique ski towns in the world, with its 100 year old buildings, its Victorian architecture and its rich history.
