Geilo ski resort Geilosiden – Geilo is located in Hallingdal (Norway, Buskerud). For skiing and snowboarding, there are 20.6 km of slopes available. 13 lifts transport the guests. The winter sports area is situated between the elevations of 800 and 1,178 m.

The Geilosiden ski resort is the larger of the two ski resorts in Geilo. Advanced skiers will find what they’re looking for on the difficult and intermediate runs on the front side of the mountain.
Geilo is one of Norway’s most popular ski destinations with slopes, parks and activities for everyone and for all levels! The small mountain town is ideal for families and covers all needs for the perfect holiday: Ski school, ski rental, children arenas and child care. The ski bus transports ski guest from their accommodation to the slopes in the morning and back in the afternoon.

Best tips for Geilo

Small, quiet, unspoiled community on the railway line from Bergen, on the coast, to Oslo. It provides all the basics of a resort – a handful of cafes and shops around the railway station, a dozen hotels more widely spread around the wide valley, children’s facilities and a sports centre. Geilo is a superb cross-country resort. It’s very limited for downhillers, and none of the runs is very difficult, but it does claim to have Scandinavia’s only super-pipe.
