Best tips for Coronet Peak

The closest of Queenstown’s two main resorts and with varied terrain to suit most ability levels. There’s a huge day lodge at the base, with two fast chairs serving the two main peaks; a third chair accesses easy green runs. Pleasant intermediate slopes provide rolling, interesting runs on an open hillside; these steepen near the bottom. Experts will find the back bowls hold some seriously steep runs and off-piste to explore with a guide. NZ’s fickle weather may bring highly variable snow conditions, but there is ample snowmaking.
