Best tips for Panorama
Home to one of North America’s biggest verticals (1220m), with something for everyone on its quiet, wooded mountain. Small, purpose-built place at the foot of the slopes and on two levels. The upper ‘village’ is centred on a hot-pool complex, while the mostly condo accommodation in the lower area. The slopes rise steeply above the resort, but steepest at the top – with genuine blacks and two expert bowls (Taynton and Extreme Dream). Excellent terrain for adventurous intermediates too. More limited for novices. Heli-ski trips are available. There’s a big park, pipe and floodlit mini-park. The school is ‘very professional’ and facilities for families good.
PROS:
- Convenient slope-side lodging
- Some quite challenging slopes
- Excellent children’s nursery slopes
